Original treatment of my photograph of Multnomah Falls near Portland, Oregon. It can be found along the historic Highway 30 and is Oregon's number one tourist attraction. Having inherited a vintage photograph which was taken in the 1920's, I wanted to experience this landmark for myself. It has a 611-foot-tall roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water. The bridge constructed in 1915 allows visitors experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease.

My innate creativity is incorporated it into each of my works of art. Knowing that I am the only person on the planet to capture a particular moment in time is absolutely thrilling and, to some extent, carries with it a responsibility to share with others what I have experienced. As a photographic artist, I have been able to mold the moments captured in my photographs into works of art that frequently, and surprisingly to many, closely resemble paintings. This is accomplished on the computer employing what is known as the “digital darkroom”. In my case, I use a variety of software applications and techniques basing what is used on each image on what I feel will create the best result for the image. Both elements of my art, the taking...
